Work Experience

Work experience is a useful learning activity.  There are many ways to do work experience, from a school work placement to a more permanent work based learning route.  Whatever your choice, doing work experience gives you an insight into the type of skills required for that job.  You will see how key skills play a vital role in the world of work, from communicating with people to working as part of a team.

Work experience could be voluntary work, part-time work, work shadowing and even project based activity, such as organising a music concert.  Employers always look at work experience as an essential part of your learning.

This part of the website gives you the opportunity to explore work experience further. Click on a topic in this section to discover more.
