What are the most popular choices?

In recent years some occupational areas have become extremely competitive. Areas such as Construction and practical Trades are vastly over subscribed and each year hundreds of young people applying for college courses and apprenticeships fail to access their first choice.

Plastering / Bricklaying / Plumbing / Electrical / Joinery are just some of the areas that have too many people for too few places.

All of these require strong Math’s and English skills.

Hairdressing is another area that attracts a large amount of applicants and can be selective about.
