Support with Career Planning

If you're thinking about your options at different stages in your learning a key point is at the end of Year 11.  To make good decisions you need to have two types of information - what sort of person you are and what options are open to you.  Your options at 16 are:

  • Stay in full-time learning, either in a 6th form or at college
  • Enter work based learning, such as an apprenticeship
  • Get a job with training

The main thing to remember is to keep learning whatever you do. Research shows that in the main people who have more qualifications earn more. So studying and working hard will be worth it in the end!  For more help with researching jobs and careers and the job market see Career Search section and Job Information section.
