James

James was unsure about his career options he had a keen interest in health and social care but was unsure what he wanted to do.  His grades he got from school were not what he expected and he didnt think it would be possible to get into the health sector. He went to the Connexions centre where the Personal Adviser was able to work with Matthew on a one to one basis.  He found the advice helped him make the right decision about his future.

James did a course in health and social care, then progressed onto an access course, which gave him credits to study physiotherapy at degree level at Sheffield Hallam University and the course involves doing a number of placements.

Matthew said The support and advice received from my Personal Adviser showed me the different routes I could take to meet my goal of becoming a physiotherapist.
